Importance
of the Quebec City Show
The Quebec City Motorcycle & ATV Show is an event of the first
rank, one that delivers a highly qualified clientele, attracts
the key exhibitors of motorcycles and ATV’S from across
the country and stands among the most prestigious specialty shows
in North America.
Last
year the Show drew exactly 21 175 visitors, the third highest
level since its inauguration 26 years ago.
From
1982 to 2007, show attendance has experienced steady growth with
an average figure of 23,385 paying visitors in the last four
years (24,392 visitors in 2004, 25,773 visitors in 2005, 22,195
visitors in 2006 and 21,175 in 2007). If we add the attendees from 2003 (23,502 visitors)
and from 2002 (20,255 visitors), we get an average of 22,885 visitors
per Show on a six year period.
The
Show offers some keen enthusiasts a three-dimensional experience,
with the chance to touch and examine the bikes and receive personal
attention with answers to their questions. These enthusiastic
riders are often the opinion leaders consulted by prospective
buyers for their advice.
For
prospective exhibitors, whether you are planning to launch a new
concept, product or service, or whether you simply want to increase
market share, at no other point in the next cycle will your promotional
efforts be more effective than right now. No other event or promotional
tool will allow you to reach such a large number of motorcyclists
or ATV lovers, present or future.
In
2008, the Show will again play a role of key importance. For our
visitors, and for 26 years, the Show has been a major social happening
not to be missed. The enthusiastic, even passionate nature of
our clientele translates into solid economic benefits for our
exhibitors.
Following
the trend of the past eight years, the Show will occupy the full
surface of a huge single hall with an area of more than 126,000
square feet.
For 2008, the Quebec City Motorcycle & ATV Show will take
place on February 8, 9 and 10 at the Centre de foires de Québec.
Visitor
profile in Quebec City
Our most recent survey proves that our show visitors are for the
most part owners of a motorcycle, or are about to become so.
A
proportion of 55 per cent of show visitors are between the ages
of 31 and 50 and 12 per cent are between the ages of 21 and 30,
an ideal proportion to assure a balance between immediate transactions
and some potential for the future.
From
that group, 80 per cent are male. Our visitors have been motorcycle
riders for about 17,5 years and ATV users for almost 20 years.
They are also homeowners, own cars or vans, are great travelers,
buyers of financial services, holders of insurance policies and
consumers of electronic products.
Promotion
and publicity: A serious and strong campaign
The promotional campaign for the Quebec City Motorcycle &
ATV Show has a budget equivalent to a direct expense of about
$ 3.50 per visitor. This does not include indirect promotions.
It includes posters, television and radio spots as well as printed
ads in daily newspapers and specialized publications with certified
circulation.
The
admission price is $10 including taxes.
The
Show hall
